Is your company located in a California
Enterprise
Zone?
In addition to sales and use tax, we specialize in enterprise
zone hiring and sales/use tax credits as well as other state
income tax credits. It has been our experience that many of the
criteria available to employers to qualify their employees for
the hiring credit are not utilized. Consequently, many employees
that should qualify for the credit are not included in the calculation.
Furthermore, we have strong relationships with enterprise zone
coordinators allowing us to streamline the vouchering process.
A voucher is required to qualify the employee for the credit.
Our services focus on examining employee records to determine
if employees not previously qualified will in fact qualify for
the credit. We obtain the vouchers from the enterprise zone coordinator,
then use your payroll information to compute the available credit.
Once that is completed and the vouchers are received, we work
with your CPA to amend your state income tax returns for the
additional credit.
As a side note, we do not compete with your CPA in any way. We
merely provide the support to allow the CPA to claim the credit
on your tax return. Without this support, the CPA could not claim
the credit; however, CPA's generally do not perform the tasks
related to the detailed examination of the employee records.
With regards to the other available state income tax credits,
we will examine your returns to determine if all available credits
have been utilized and include any additional credits in our
project.
Our fees for this project can be computed on either an hourly
or contingent fee arrangement. Under the contingent fee arrangement,
our fees are computed as a percentage of the refunds received
or the credit utilized. No fees are due unless an actual benefit
is received. |
