Our Company
Sales Tax Resource Group is a tax consulting firm comprised of former California
sales tax auditors specializing in multi-state
sales and use tax issues. In addition to providing sales tax audit defense services
and credit and refund studies, STRG performs nexus, taxability and exposure studies,
provides training, general consulting and specialized transaction analysis,
along with a variety of other services.
In addition to serving individual companies, our goal is to form relationships
with
small to medium-sized CPA firms, enrolled agents, and other professional service firms to allow them to provide their clients with the highest quality
consulting services. We do not provide general accounting or tax services and
will not compete with CPA’s for other services. STRG has a wealth of experience
and resources enabling us to handle most projects regardless of size or
complexity.
We have in-depth knowledge of sales and use taxes and state-of-the-art research tools. We also maintain an extensive network of private and government specialists who are highly knowledgeable of the rules in their jurisdiction. Often, fees can be billed on a "percentage of recovery" basis; if we do not create a savings, there is no fee for our services.
In addition to California sales tax audits and other matters before
the California State Board of Equalization, we also handle other state
sales and use tax audits, refund studies, nexus, and voluntary
disclosure matters.
